Privacy Policy

Overview

Anime Watch Times (AWT) displays anime schedules and information and lets you create an account, vote, and save a personal watched list. Browsing the public schedule does not require an account.

Information used to provide AWT

  • Accounts: Supabase handles your email address, authentication credentials, and account identifier. Your password is handled by the authentication service; it is not included in your watched list or analytics.
  • Saved lists and votes: AWT stores anime selections, rankings, tiers, watched dates, and votes associated with your account so they can be restored across devices.
  • Activity: For signed-in accounts, AWT records the UTC day and broad action category, such as viewing the schedule or saving a list, to measure active usage. These records do not contain the anime title, email address, or full browsing history.
  • Device storage: Your browser stores your sign-in session and watched-list drafts. Guest lists stay on that device. Account drafts are separated by account and can remain after sign-out to recover interrupted saves. Clear this site's browser data to remove local copies; use your own device for private lists.
  • Service logs: Hosting and service providers may process request information such as IP addresses, device/browser information, and errors to operate and protect their services.

Analytics and advertising

AWT uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand public page visits and loading performance. The analytics integration excludes account, watched-list, and shared-list pages and removes search queries and other query strings except simple campaign labels (source, medium, and campaign). Vercel describes Web Analytics as using no tracking cookies. AWT does not currently run advertising. We will update this policy if advertising is introduced.

Service providers and external links

Vercel hosts the website and provides analytics; Supabase provides authentication and account data storage; Resend delivers account emails. AniList supplies anime data, and cover images may load from its image servers. GitHub stores the website source. These providers may process data in countries outside your own. External streaming links have their own privacy practices.

Embedded trailers

Embedded trailer players may connect to YouTube or Vimeo when the trailer section loads. The provider then receives request information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies or other storage under its own privacy policy. YouTube trailers use its privacy-enhanced embed domain; this does not make playback anonymous. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Vimeo’s Privacy Policy.

Support messages and account email

Account confirmation and password-reset messages are sent through Supabase and Resend. If you email support, we receive your sender address, message, and any attachments. Support messages are handled in our Google Workspace mailbox and used to respond and investigate requests. Do not send passwords or authentication links. Messages may be kept while needed to address the request and maintain relevant support records. Email providers may process messages under their own privacy policies.

Shared lists

Your saved list is private by default. Choosing to publish a shared snapshot makes its anime titles, ranks, tiers, and poster URLs available to anyone with its link. Your email and watched dates are excluded. Publishing again replaces the previous link. Deleting your account removes your shared snapshots. Others may still keep copies they already viewed or downloaded.

Data controls and retention

You can edit your list or permanently delete your account from the account page. Deletion removes your account and associated AWT lists, votes, snapshots, and activity from the active database. Service logs and any provider backups follow the providers' retention processes. Downloaded or shared copies held by other people are outside AWT's control.

Clearing this site’s browser storage removes local drafts and guest lists. Account deletion does not automatically clear browser copies on your devices.

Privacy requests

Contact support to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing and to complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify ownership and retain information necessary for security, legal obligations, or resolving a dispute. We respond in accordance with applicable requirements. Account-linked activity remains until account deletion; hosting logs and backups have separate provider retention processes.

Children’s data

AWT is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. The “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
